What we offer

Ivy Mind’s Educational Outreach Service supports children and young people who are not currently accessing full time education.  We aim to bridge the gap between formal education and community engagement by providing tailored programmes and embedded learning tailored to the young person’s educational aspirations, needs and abilities.  Our goal is to work towards reintegration into an educational setting.

Our Outreach services are flexible and adaptable to different settings and contexts, and we also support children and young people who are on part time timetables and those who are at risk of becoming a non-attender at school/college.

We specialise in supporting children and young people with complex disability/SEND needs.  We provide a safe space for  CYP who have experienced trauma or a significant life events, and CYP who suffer with anxiety and attachment difficulties.

Our Forest School setting supports children and young people to help them understand, recognise and regulate their emotions, develop social skills, give opportunities to increase independence and life skills and to form healthy attachment with a trusted adult.

We tailor support to the individual’s needs and assess appropriate provision after consultation with parents/carers, teachers and educational settings and other professionals involved.

Most importantly, we listen to the voice of the young person to ensure that they are prepared and ready for learning at all times.

1:1, 2:1 or small groups are delivered in a Forest School environment, at home or in school.  We can also support young people virtually if this is required.

Objectives

Our ultimate goal is to help young people achieve their full potential and aspirations in a child led, way.  Creating a trusted adult dynamic through the therapeutic space of the relationship.

Our aim is to help CYP reintegrate into a mainstream setting or if this is not possible to prepare for exams that are guided by their aspiration.
